Dr. Brenner has been in the area since 1982. She received her BA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, in 1987, her MD in 1997 at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI, and did a Pediatric Residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan, Detroit, MI, from 1998 to 2001. Her undergraduate junior year was spent in Freiburg Germany where she met her husband. After graduation they spent a year teaching English in Seoul, S. Korea where she realized that medicine was her true calling. Dr. Brenner has been a clinical pediatrician in private practices in Plymouth, Oakwood, Canton, and Livonia. In addition, she has been involved with several teenage pregnancy and parenting groups; in 2000 she received the Scott Shipman AAP Child Advocacy Award. Dr. Brenner believes that taking care of children involves the whole family. She practices with compassion, humor and common sense. She is well versed in parenting issues, ADHD, healthy habits, and general pediatrics. She looks forward to helping you guide your child to adulthood. Dr. Brenner is married to an Internal Medicine physician and has 3 children, Ben, Will, and Brooke. She plays tennis, gardens, and is involved at her children's schools.
