David A. Lootens, MD

Dr. Lootens attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI,  as an undergraduate, receiving a BS in Biophysics, graduating with distinction in 1977.   He received his MD from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI in 1981.  Following a residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI, Dr. Lootens did a Fellowship in Internal Medicine at University of Illinois, in Chicago, IL, from 1984-1985.   He has been a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan and at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in Chicago, IL.  His clinical interests include cardiovascular risk reduction.  Dr. Lootens enjoys hiking and mountain photography.
